Canada Seeks Input On New San Marino Tax Deal
The Canadian Government has asked for taxpayers’ advice on the negotiation of a double tax avoidance agreement with San Marino.
The Department of Finance said that the two territories would be pushing for the conclusion of the tax agreement during talks scheduled for this month.
The Department is reaching out to those entities that may potentially face double taxation on their income from cross-border trade or investment. Specifically, it is interested in learning of any difficulties encountered by Canadians under the tax system of San Marino so that these issues might be taken into account in negotiations.
