Chile and China to Sign Several Agreements
Santiago de Chile, May 25 (Prensa Latina) Chile and China will sign several cooperation and trade agreements today in a ceremony at La Moneda Palace, in the presence of Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqian.
Li, who arrived in this capital yesterday afternoon, held a meeting with Bachelet at the presidential headquarters today in the morning, to lead later, together, an extended meeting between both countries’ delegations.
Around noon, they led the signing of several bilateral agreements between the respective Central Banks and the accord to eliminate the double taxation on income and personal assets, with a view to prevent tax evasion.
The two nations, which are signatories of a Free Trade Agreement since 2006, are expected to reach agreements in mining, infrastructure and energy.
