EXIM Bank launches new OBU operating Software

EXIM Bank launched a Shariah-compliant Offshore Banking Software Solution ‘Ababil’ to operate its all three OBUs at Motijheel, Gulshan and Agrabad branches. The launching ceremony was held on Sunday at EXIM Bank head office in the city, said a statement. Managing Director and CEO of the bank Dr Mohammed Haider Ali Miah was present on the occasion as the chief guest and launched the software while Managing Director and CEO of Millennium Information Solution Ltd Mahmud Hossain was present as the special guest. Dr Mohammed Haider Ali Miah, Managing Director (MD) and CEO of EXIM Bank said, “The volume of offshore banking business is increasing day by day and an automated, Shariah compliant, highly secured, capable to generate MIS and dual checking system has become obvious for offshore banking units. In consequence, EXIM Bank has decided to implement ‘Ababil’ as its OBU solution. It is to be mentioned that EXIM Bank is using world renowned Shariah compliant software “Temenos T24” for its core banking operations. Deputy Managing Directors of EXIM Bank and high officials of both the institutions were also present at the occasion.
