Iran, Kenya ink agreement on double taxation avoidance
TEHRAN – A Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) was signed between Iran and Kenya during the visit of an Iranian trade delegation to the African country.
According to the Public Relations Department of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), the agreement was signed by the Iranian ambassador to Kenya Hadi Farajvand, and the Principal Secretary for Kenya’s National Treasury Kamau Thugge, IRNA reported.
In the signing ceremony, Farajvand said “Being the gate to the east of Africa, Kenya has always been considered an important trade partner and a good market by Iran.”
The Kenyan official for his part noted that with the DTAA being finalized the level of investment and trade will rise in both countries.
